Consultation for focal points: Status and challenges of Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR) Systems in Latin America and the Caribbean
This survey aims to collect detailed information on Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR) systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The information gathered will help assess existing systems, identify enabling factors and obstacles for countries in the implementation process or those without a system, and explore challenges and opportunities for their effective implementation.
The questionnaire is divided into three sections:
- Section A: For countries with an implemented PRTR.
- Section B: For countries without a PRTR or in the implementation process.
- Section C: General questions applicable to all countries, regardless of whether they have a PRTR, focusing on cross-cutting and regional aspects.
Instructions for Completing the Questionnaire:
1. One response per country: Having only one response per country is desirable. If possible, the person responsible for completing the questionnaire should gather responses from the relevant responsible authorities.
2. If your country already has an implemented PRTR, please complete Section A.
3. If your country does not yet have a PRTR or is in the implementation process, please complete Section B.
4. All countries must complete Section C.
5. Answer all questions in detail. If a question does not apply to your context, please indicate so in the corresponding space.
